IMVI (International Mathematical Virtual Institute) is organized by DMBL (Scientific Society of Mathematicians Banja Luka) as an answer to call of EMS (European Mathematical Society) and ERME (European Society for Research in Mathematics Education) for promote communication, cooperation and collaboration in research in (pure and applied) mathematics, history and philosophy of mathematics, and mathematics education.
The DMBL Society aims to enable communication of information to enhance the visibility and availability of research on mathematics, history and philosophy of mathematics and mathematics education (in The Balkans, Europe and all over the world). Media of communication include proceedings, journals, newsletters, books, the internet, web sites, video-Congress, interactive CD-ROMs, virtual groups. The Society also supports other activities that help to achieve the objectives of communication, cooperation and collaboration between members.
